how to install evolution 2.11.4 ? i see there is a lot of file types which one should a choose?

just choose

'evolution' that should also automatically install evolution-common as well.

Are you using Gutsy?
Evolution 2.11.4 is only available on the new version of Ubuntu.

i am using Ubuntu 7.04 and the evolution version is 2.10.1 do I need to upgrade to version 2.11.4.

As I said, you can't install 2.11.4 in Feisty, its a package meant only for Gutsy.
Once Gutsy will be stable (foreseen in October) you can upgrade to Gutsy and all your packages will be upgraded (including Evolution).
