Why does Evolution starts at switch on

Asked by kilgetty

When I start Ubuntu, Evolution starts running as well. I have checked in Startup Applications but there is no mention of it. How can I stop it from starting up by itself?

If you go to System -> Preferences -> Startup Applications -> "Options" tab
Is "Automatically remember running applications when logging out" checked?

Evolution is heavily integrated into the Ubuntu desktop for use as a calendar, meeting reminder etc. As such it always starts during boot. Uninstalling it definitely solves the issue :)

Hi Jeruvy, I understand what you are saying but Evolution did not start up until I clicked on the icon until a few weeks ago. But all is well now as Thunderbird does not start till I want it to. Thank you for your comment.
