Hi,

When you say "This just happened", do you mean that it was working before? I would advise to check if something has changed in the sympatico.ca server itself.

I went to Edit- preferences- chose email accounts- edit button-then
sending email and under this I unclicked a box that activated
'Server Requires Authentication" Then the two messages that were in my
out box flew as well as these requests to you guys.
Before I did this I got two messages that my help requests did not fly
either. Thats why I started digging around and trying something. I think
I got lucky. Could I have screwed up anything by unclicking thay box? If
not donn't bother answering this but if I should do something else
please let me know.
Thank you very much for your responses, to answer your question about
what I ment about
'it was working" Yes I have been sending and receiving email on
evolution for over a year with no problems until yesterday.

  Thanks again,

  Gene

Well, my guess is that sympatico.ca changed the setting of their smtp servers. If you're sure the emails are sent propertly, you should not worry more than that.
