evolution the send receive button is disabled

Asked by pete smout

I just got home from work, started evolution to check my mail, and the send/ receive button on the toolbar is greyed out (disabled). No one has been her to change any settings and it worked fine this morning!

If any one has any ideas I would be grateful

thanks in advance

Thanks.

Another tech support example of pitifully simple read the manual or in this read the screen, every blessed square cm thereof. Thanks A great solution might be to have such small but critical information icons flash or change color when offline.

Not you r bad at all - I have done the exact same thing!!!
Not a very intuitive design .. would have helped if a context help showed up when hovering over said button - that indicated that the client was in 'off-line' mode.

But that would make life easy wouldn't it.... and we cant have that!

Me too.
Don't see it in the help guide.
Silly and very annoying.

I too have solved this problem. Is there a way to make Evolution go on line automatically?
