Evolution calendar not showing the tasks on it

Asked by Borja Gonzalez

I am a kind of newbie with Evolution, I do not know if this is a bug or not...
When I create new tasks, these are not showed at the calendar. They are just listed on the task list, I even set starting and ending dates but they keep not appearing in the calendar. Does the calendar only show events? I guess it is not, since in the preferences I can set the color of the tasks appearing on the calendar so I "cleverly" assume they should appear there.
I have a fresh installation of ubuntu 7.04.

Any help is much appreciated.
Borja

Evolution does not show the task in the calendar, even when the tasks have start and end dates. This issue is confusing since tasks /are/ shown with the calendar, and tasks are sent through the mail in the ical format. I think the main reason for this is that while the two kinds of items are stored in difference places in evolution, so they cannot be mixed.

Thanks Curtis, at least I will stop figuring out how to make the tasks appear on the calendar... However I believe it would be nice you could see the task length at a glance.

Thank you for your help.
