Mail notification missing

Asked by Daz

Having just upgraded to Hardy I have lost my evolution notification sound settings. In Menu->Edit->Preferences->General there is now no Notification option.

I have also tried looking for the Notification Plugin in Edit->Plugins and it doesn't exist.

It changed location. Mail notification options are now handled in the mail notification plugin config page. So you have to go to Edit/plugins, scroll down to the mail notification plugin and select the config tab.

Also, If the mail notification plugin does not exist in the plugin list, please ensure that the package evolution-plugins is installed.

Thanks a lot. Having added the Plugins, from Synaptic, I have now added a notification sound. But why oh why has the update to Hardy made things more difficult, when that one was so easy before?

Again thanks, Daz

And I am amazed at the very quick and accurate response.

Again thanks, Daz
