I get somewhat the same: ERR error or user/password unknown for POP and SMtP server at Yahoo.com. The Ubuntu book does mention some setup issues but I have no idea what the hangup is. AT&T help was unable to assist after repeated reinstalls of my Yahoo account. If anyone knows reach me at <email address hidden> and when I get XP running I'll get your message there. I think I sent one message on Evolution and that was it.

I have the same problem as fspic, but I can't access any answers for his question. I get "host look up failed" when I try to send mail, can you help? <email address hidden>

I am having the same issue with my gmail. I set up evolution mail today. it was working fine but now have error message I took a screenshot if anyone would like to see it
