Store sent emails in the same folder where the replied-to message was

I'd like to have my sent emails stored in the same folder as their parent message (when there is one) rather than in a separate folder. Is there any way to achieve that?

You didn't specify which email client you are using (Evolution, Thunderbird, Kmail...) but as fahr as I know non of these has such a feature.

As a workaround, you can configure any mail client to automatically sent to yourself every copy of the message you send. This will ensure you have a copy of your replay in the same folter where you got the answered mail. Furthermore, if you choos a threaded view it will att your message to a discussion thread.
