how to receive the message, and still leave a copy the server

When I receive the message from my mail server, I am unable to retain the copy of the message, as is possible with MS out look express. How to implement the same with evolution mail?

You can try to configure the mail access with IMAP protocol rather than POP one.
But I do not know Evolution, so I can't be more precise

there are "receive options" if you edit your mail account in edit/settings. there you can check "leave messages on server".
