enabling webcam on emphaty

hai,
how to enable my webcam on empathy ? it's was dimmed on the menu.

hereis my lsusb result :
Bus 004 Device 003: ID 046d:08f0 Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Messenger
and it was working on guvcview application.

if you go to the help button in your chat box toolbar it will redirect you to a webpage that lists the messenger services that are compatible with video and audio calls( thats what they call it) the problem is it seems that both parties have to have a messenger service that supports it and the support list the site has does not include yahoo which is what i use apparently the resolution to the webcam problem in pidgin is NOT a fully functioning one and those on the list of non-compatibles need to search for plugins that will enable the web cam in empathy im still new at this so thats the best answer ive got -sorry, jake
