Where is the empathy menu in 12.10 unstable release?

I recently upgraded quantal, and I've noticed that the file menu, well the whole menu, is missing in empathy. How do I configure it? Well, I'm assuming that I have to enable it for use in gnome 3. Any Ideas?

which menu are you talking about it has been condence in one menu in quantal just click on empathy in the top pannel.

@Bilal, I'm using gnome-shell. There is no menu for me to click on.

@actionparsip, I still see the same thing with a new user unfortunately.

its in the shell top bar as defined by developers,,, screenshot needed or video needed if not present there.

One thing I'd like to do is change the in-chat theme, the default one displays the time below the text.

you need the update i guess so
i am easily able to open the menu
try reinstalling empathy..

Reinstalling didn't change anything. Could you send me a screenshot of what it looks like for you?

I have the same problem (same picture as Richard), and I can't figure it out (gnome-shell, 12.10). My gchat contacts appear in Empathy, but I have no idea how to join an IRC room without a menu.

@Dejan, it's not obvious, the gnome/empathy people decided to use the interface in a way that isn't used for any other program (that I use, anyway). To get the empathy menu, you make sure empathy is the active program. Then you click on the name/icon that is just to the right of the "Activities" menu on gnome-shell.

Richard, you're a saver!
It's weird place to put the menu. I have a dual screen setup, with empathy on the 2nd screen, so I have to go to the 1st screen to get to the menu :(.
