Contact Merge function disappeared!

Hi to all!

I have tried so search a solution to this for months.... without success!

The possibility to merge several contacts from different accounts has disappeared in my empathy! And this happened if I well remember a couple (or a t least one) Ubuntu Distribution ago (now I'm on 12.04).

What I mean is not that I try to merge contacts and nothing happens or I get some errors.... the "merge contacts" (I don't know if this is the correct menu name, because I use the Italian version) isn't present in the context menu when I right-click on a contact.

On the other hands, the contacts I merged months ago (before the menu disappeared) are still merged.

I use empathy from the official repository.
