I get this message when trying to send a fax:- efax-0.9a:15:38:: 54 Error: tcgetattr on fd=7 failed: Input/output error

 I get this message when trying to send a fax:- "efax-0.9a:15:38:: 54 Error: tcgetattr on fd=7 failed: Input/output error"

It seems to me that there is no communication to the modem and I do not know how to fix it. Any help perhaps.

I have no idea what you are referring to when you say this: lsb_release -a. Where will I find this?

It's a terminal command, copy and paste the command to the terminal and hit enter. Copy and paste the text here as an update

The reply I get is : No LSB modules are available.

cat /etc/lsb-release

What is output?

I do not know whether this is what is suppose to happen? Perhaps I insert the info into the wrong place. I unfortunately do not know much about the inside of the operating system.

Ok I don't know much about faxes and the like but you may want to log a bug, maybe others can assist.
