Getting this error while intalling packages in Add/Remove applications:
 so i tried following command suggested by many people...

sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
$ sudo dpkg --configure -a

While running the " sudo dpkg --configure -a" in terminal it outputs :"dpkg: failed to write status record about `prosper' to `/var/lib/dpkg/status': No space left on device"......... i dono excatly might be memory space problem ? What to do now?

Plz anyone help me..

pleaese run a df -h in the terminal, prop. are out of disk space. post the outcome here.

or a sudo fdisk -l
you could make some space by: sudo apt-get clean and sudo autoremove

yeah ..... actually sudo fdisk -l this command is used to check the
partition ...

Your disk is indeed 100% in use. You should at least use 4-8GB for an ubuntu install.
With the gparted live-cd, you can download the iso and burnt it, you can easily increase room on your disk,( if available)
