I am trying to delete some file sitting in the print queue and slowing down my system.
I am using Ubuntu 11.10. Tried to use system setting printers and delete the files with no success.

Can any one help.

when you have the printing settings open (in dash search for printing", from the menu click Printer -- view print queue, then select the print item to delete

Nathan!

Forgot to mention that I am running Ubuntu in GNome Classic instead of Unity.

Once I re-booted Ubuntu Unity pick setting, printing (which in GNome you see printers) and right click than you see the view queue.

Thanks! Problem solved.

I've tried that. The file disappears from the cue, but when I click "Refresh job list", the file is still there. I've also tried restarting, but that didn't work either. Any help?
