How do you mean 'purge app'?

Do you want to clear your recent documents list? Is that what you mean?

No. Not only must the documents be deleted but it must be impossible to recover them from the hard-drive. They must be reduced to an assortment of junk code which no-one can use.

Oh so you want a safe delete tool. Look into shred :)

Why didn't you add the text in your last update to the initial question when you asked it. It's much clearer.

Please note that if you want to make it *impossible* to recover a file, then you must overwrite the entire disk that contained it, and you must do it in a very specific way. (And if the disk that contained the swap was a different disk, you must overwrite its contents too. And if they are not magnetic hard disks, then no sure-fire way of doing so has been established.)

If you want more info on this, please feel free to post again.
