problems: how to use chmod

help i am trying to load a new website into my apache www directory but it wont let me. i tried sudo chmod ugo+rwx but i get error msg saying 'missing operand after rwx' i can find nothing in the docs or chmod help that explains or clarifies. help my website is stranded until i fix this!

You ave not put an operand to the command, to get chmod usage please type:

man chmod

to use chmod you must write something like this:

you can use the man pages in the CLI for information on how to use all linux commands.

type

man chmod for information on how chmod is used
