Question: How can I clone my computer Running Ubuntu 11.04?

Hello,
I was wondering if there is any possibility of backing up Ubuntu on an external hard disk (Like Norton ghost backing up Windows, Time machine on Mac OSX). I tried using Acronis 2009 but I'm not exactly sure if the backup solution would work. Sorry If it is a duplicate question I just want to know what backup solutions are out there (like a complete PC restore type of solution).
