Nagging about Upgrades - how do you shut this off permanently

Asked by Mick Alvey

I get constant notifications that say an upgrade is available. I choose the option NO I do not want to upgrade. But the pop-ups keep coming. This is not acceptable. Shame on whoever is coding/scripting this. I DO NOT WANT TO UPGRADE...PERIOD. I WANT TO TURN THIS OFF PERMANENTLY.

Have you tried to adapt the settings in the Software Sources settings dialogue?
