Everything on the desktop has vanished due to me messing with this advanced appearance thing I downloaded. I think it started with a C.

     I downloaded an advanced customizer program in the themes and tweaks section, I messed with it for a while with the wobbly windows and such. I must've did something way wrong cause I cannot do anything on Ubuntu besides creating new folders and changing my background. I got to Firefox by pressing F1 and going to find help online or something. I was just wondering if there was some way I could maybe return Ubuntu to default or delete the program that created this pickle. Thank you.

ccsm more than likely.

If you run:

gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/compiz

You will get default compiz settings

Well my desktop doesn't use the compiz program anymore, no more wiggly windows. The problem is still there though I typed gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/compiz-1 and I cannot open the terminal with ctrl+alt+T anymore, so I'm screwed.

Press CTRL+ALT+F1 and you can run it there, you aren't 'screwed' at all. You can then press CTRL+ALT+F7 and get back to the desktop, or you can run:

sudo reboot

To reboot the system.

Thank you for your help. I fixed it by reinstalling Ubuntu, then I reinstalled compiz and it happened again. To fix it I typed in unity --replace and then sudo reboot and it worked. Thank you.

You can't use it with Unity, if you want use it, you have to use the Ubuntu Classical session.
For do this, at login screen select Ubuntu Classical and login. Here is a screenshot:

To enable wobbly windows plugin it needs CCSM.
Unity + Compiz depend on graphics support. No issues here with Natty+Cube+Wobbly_windows (desktop-pc), Oneirc+Wall+Wobbly_windows (notebook), both with open source radeon.
This page mentions there might still be issues and in case recommends to report a bug.

As mentioned bug reports explain there have been issues with plugin conflicts, which at the beginning of dev cycle got worse in Oneiric since there're lots of porting going on, but might get finally solved with 12.04.

Terminal shortcut ctrl+alt+t options in Natty are gnome-compatibility plugin of CCSM or simply system-settings -> keyboard shortcuts.
Again some change in Oneiric.
