I just installed clamtk Build: ClamAV 0.91.2 from ubuntu rep. (7.10) and try to update signatures
nothing works
I'm fairly new to the Linux, maybe it's my fault, but
under root: clamtk

and I run clamscan:

it looks like clamav have signatures, but clamtk can't see it

Two things:

1. The ClamAV warning is from the virus scanner itself, not the GUI. It's just letting you know there are newer versions available. It's not necessarily bad - sometimes fixes from the newer versions are applied to an older base that is stable. It's probably okay.

2. The 2.32 version of ClamTk is VERY old, and I wish to God it would be removed or updated. However, the latest version - 3.08 - is available here:

http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/all/clamtk/download

That's for Hardy, I know, but it seems to install just fine.

Try downloading and installing that version and let me know if that works for you.

I upgrade ClamTK to 3.08 and it find all signatures
now I have this stats:

Build: ClamAV 0.91.2
Signatures: 220181
(27 Feb 2008)
GUI Version: 3.08
