Need antivirus software

Is there any free antivirus software for ubuntu which have real time scanner? I mean which automatically scans files when writing, scans documents when opening, scans data when copying from cd or flash disk for windows viruses or threats. Which monitors web and network activity.
I know it is not necessary to have antivirus in ubuntu but I share lot of data whith windows users .
Plz tell me about the best antivirus

Sure. I personally recommend you use clamav.You can install it with:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-clamav/ppa; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install clamav-daemon clamtk; sudo freshclam

The PPA has later versions of definitions and engine. You can manually scan the partitions with Clamtk. There is no 'best' antivirus for Ubuntu, or for ANY OS. The files you use will be scanned with a daemon so will be sligtly slower but not much. In Linux there is actually no need for AV unless you are running a mail server or a file server with Windows clients. I suggest you read this:

Norton is the best antivirus for your system. I train a diffusion of lessons for senior citizens which includes laptop safety.

It seems to me that the page that is linked in comment #5 is misusing the name of Norton antivirus for their own benefits.

Why would anbody want to use such service instead of the genuine Norton services?

Why should anybody enter his license key and personal data on a web page without knowing what that web page is doing with it?

What's the difference between such activity and phishing?
