For diagnostic purposes, what output do you receive for the commands

uname -a
lsb_release -crid
apt-cache policy calibre calibre-bin

Please answer the above: Open Terminal -> [ctl+alt+t] copy paste the above command + enter.
Copy copy then paste here as the output.
Thank You

Sorry, this is a misunderstanding.

This question area is named "Calibre on Ubuntu", but for a reason not known to me, also problems with Calibre on Windows and other operating systems are supposed to be reported here, which in my opinion does not make sense. See also https://answers.launchpad.net/calibre

The request for information in the first comment and the instructions to use ctrl-alt-t were meant to help for Calibre when running on Ubuntu systems.
I assume that you are running Calibre on Windows. So everything written so far does not help. Please ignore it.
Hopefully somebody else will help, Bernard and I can't, because we mainly support Ubuntu.

Whatever you do to provide additional information, it does not work, see https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/calibre/+question/698143

You have to be aware that only plain text is possible in the Launchpad question area.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Jan Jaroszkiewicz for more information if necessary.
