how do I down load e-books/Sony reader

new to Ubuntu and received a Sony Reader for Christmas so How do I get e-books? Sony Download for reader does not work.

According to wikipedia, you can just place documents directly on the device as if it were a flash drive (it presents its internal drive as a mass storage device).

If you are after a SOURCE of books, you might want to look at

http://www.gutenberg.org

which is a very large public domain library. The books are all free, and are out of copyright, or otherwise freely available -- you can check out their top 100 list.
