Copying a DVD with Brasero gives a fatal error vts css key

Trying to copy a DVD in Brasero 2.30.2 on Ubuntu 10.04 on an Acer 5742 gives the following error.

Error reading video DVD (fatal error in vts css key)

Hi what codecs do you have installed? Most of the codecs cannot ship with Ubuntu because they are proprietary code.

Even with the codecs installed I'm not sure you can just do a copy with Brasero, I think you need to use a dedicated copy program: try Googling on the subject and read some reviews.

It is a movie DVD (borrowed from the library)

Then it will have copy protection. Is it copyrighted material like a hollywood movie etc?
