@Michael Markusch
Welcome to Launchpad. Not a huge big deal, but: In the future, when posting in a question someone else has started, please only use the "Propose Answer" button if you believe the content of your post may enable the person who created the question to solve *their* problem. (Similarly, the "Add Information Request" button is for when you want *them* to provide information, for the purpose of solving their problem.) When you do not want to change a question's status (see below), as in this case, you should use the "Just Add a Comment" button.
If you're interested, please see https:/
@Christophe H
Your question has Answered status now, so assuming you are still experiencing this problem, you should post again, changing its status back to Open. You can do that by typing your message into the large text box near the bottom of https:/

Hello,
I have contacted foxconn and broadcom through their regional contact and none was really helpfull.
The problenm is still not solved for me.
I have also discussed on the bluez channel over irc and they pointed me to try to get support from broadcom and/or Fujitsu.
Thanks.

I'm having the same issue. With the same adapter. Ubuntu 11.04 just isn't recognizing it as a BT adapter.
I even started to think that there was a mistake and my laptop actually doesn't have BT adapter lol.
I own Fujitsu Lifebook E751.

Hello,
ok to solve this, they need broadcom to deliver a linux firmware, so the wait could be a bit long depending on the good will of broadcom.
Keep you posted

Hello Christophe,
can we possibly write them? If you post their email other users would normally email them asking for it.
It could help :D

Hello Bakytn,
Honestly I don think it is a good idea to my opinion to make email bombing of people @broadcom for the moment.
We have an helpful contact there but as eager as I am and you are to have your bluetooth working, I prefer for the moment to take the smooth path.
I will keep you posted
Kind Regards

Christophe, I can't beleive they don't want to support growing Linux community. I will try to avoid now buying products containing their Bluetooth adapter anymore ;(

Upcoming Quantal 12.10 uses 3.5 version of kernel and I just upgraded to the Beta. Still no support for this adapter.
Can you help with this problem?
Provide an answer of your own, or ask Christophe H for more information if necessary.
