BIND9 version available for Ubuntu 18.04

I am working to upgrade version of BIND9 on my linux ubuntu 18.04 server, what is the latest supported version for ubuntu 18.04?
currently have 9.11.3 installed.

There are PPAs with higher version, if you dare using them. See https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+ppas?name_filter=bind9for a list of potential candidates.

That's newest version in the repositories for Bionic. Note that Bionic only has 2 years support left. You can upgrade directly to Focal and get bind 9.16.1
