requesting bind 9.10.2 build(stable)
I currently love the 9.9.5 build that ubuntu has, but I've noticed there is a really important feature that I could be using that comes built in with 9.10.~, the EDNS client-subnet feature which for recursive resolving will pass the client's IP/subnet to the resolver which then if the resolver supports EDNS client-subnet feature, will be able to geo-locate the clients request properly. This is very important seeing as for instance if a user is located in China and wants to use DNS servers in Japan that utilize google dns's resolver for example. Google will think the DNS request is coming from the japan DNS server when in actuality the request is being forwarded from the Japan server to the client in china. If Google DNS looks up anycasting information for a domain and gets back a Japan server, the client would be getting a worse connection than if EDNS client-subnet passthrough was enabled in the Japanese servers BIND, which would then result in Google returning back a Chinese server closer to the client.
I'm not very good with compiling and am requesting someone update the bind9 package kindly. :)
