the problem of the test of the bind

When I test the bind9 whether it works, I type the following command :

/usr/local/named/sbin/named -c /usr/local/named/etc/named.conf &

But there is no other information except this one:
[2] 16296

I don not know what it is,and how to solve it?

That is just a confirmation that the process "named" is now running in the background with process ID 16296. Unless there are other messages printed in the window, the process is running successfully.

All ok the 16296 is the Pid of the started bind... daemon.

Thank you for your response , but when I use the command "host" and "nslookup", it can not get the correct result, I would like to ask in addition to setup named.conf, is it necessary for me to set up resolv.conf?If so, how can I do it? Thank you
