banshee package

Banshee is frozen, won't do anything except close.

I started my computer, opened banshee it looked normal for about 10 secounds then it turned a darker shade and it wouldn't do any thing, except exit out of itself but when it does that it says that" The window "Banshee Media Player" is not responding.

Forcing this application to quit will cause you to lose any unsaved changes."

Does it happen if you make a fresh Ubuntu user and log in as that?

What is the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; apt-cache policy banshee

It does work in guest settings. I can't find any of my music over there thought, but I can listen to music off a cd over there and download music off cd's .
  As to your question of the output of:
lsb_release -a; uname -a; apt-cache policy banshee

 Am I supposed to put this into my terminal or what??

Yes, its a terminal command, you can run one easily by pressing CTRL+ALT+T

All I can recommend is report a bug. Do other players lock up the same?

 No, Rythmbox works fine but some of my music on rythm box don't have their names attached.
