banshee will not load amazon mp3 store

Banshee will not load the Amazon mp3 store. I get the message:

Unable to load page

Problem occurred while loading the URL https://one.ubuntu.com/music/store/amz/geo/home/

Cannot resolve proxy hostname ()

I'm running Banshee 2.4.1 on 12.04LTS on Acer Aspire One D255. I've used the Amazon mp3 store on Banshee on this machine many times - it's just stopped working.

My internet connection is fine (I'm using the same computer to post this). I've Googled this issue but not found anyone else reporting it even though it seems to me it might be an Amazon issue. Anyone any ideas?

If you run:

echo "nameserver 8.8.8.8" | sudo tee /etc/resolv.conf > /dev/null

Is it then ok?

Thanks to dobey via ask ubuntu:

Open a terminal and run gsettings reset-recursively org.gnome.system.proxy if are you not using a proxy to connect to the web.

If you do need to use a proxy, it appears there is an issue with one of the proxy settings. Fix it and everything should work again.
