Fatal Error: database disk image is malformed

Asked by Shawn McCuan

Banshee has been working fine up until the past few days when it started throwing out a fatal error on startup, then closing after the dialog. I tried upgrading to the ppa version, but, I still receive the following error:

An unhandled exception was thrown: The database disk image is malformed

Deleting ~/.config/banshee-1/banshee.db with cause banshee to rescan your library. This fixed the issue for me.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Shawn McCuan for more information if necessary.
