This tool is a great idea. How's it progressing and is any help needed testing in an AD environment?

You can track the code at https://code.launchpad.net/network-authentication.
(And now I'm curious as to why that code isn't part of the authtool "source package" pages - hmmmm.)

Stephan Buys has a branch of the code available from there also, with some recent changes developed as part of the ImpiLinux work.

Testing is always welcome, especially folks with AD setups to throw at it.

What sort of AD setup might you be able to test with?

Sorry fellows, won't get to this again until August as I won't get to the
info concerning the sort of AD setup they have until after vacation. So more

Hello again,
I should have the info I need by the end of next week. I've been reading up on this a bit and one thing concerns me - what are the requirements on the server side? My chances of getting the IT dept. to do anything for me from a Linux machine are pretty minimal.
