Apport does not create a crash report
Asked by
Michael Geselbracht
After updgrading to Ubuntu 11.10 the XServer crashes about once per hour. Now I want to submit a bug report using apport. I have enabled apport by setting 'enabled=1' in /etc/default/
'sudo service apport status' returns 'apport start/running'.
Now, if the XServer crashes, no file is written in /var/crashes. I also let a test program crash on purpose (segfault) and nothing happend.
Any ideas how I should proceed?
Thanks in advance
Michael
