how do I configure/install apache server

I have an old Gateway PC running Ubuntu 8.04.2
I want to learn more about Apache Server, MySql and PHP. I have Apache2.2 in my home files, what do I do now?

Go to:
System->Administration->Synaptic Package Manage->Edit->Mark Packages by Task.

Then you can find LAMP Server, check it and apply.
