How to upgrade to aom 3.7.0
Apoloigies for my newbie-ness in not understanding how to deal with this:
I'm running Ubuntu 23.04 in a single image Docker container, and I want to use avifenc (and therefore aom). I'm currently using a simple command "apt-get install -y libavif-bin ", but that gets me v3.6.0 of aom. Unfortunately, this contains a bug which is stopping me proceeding (see https:/
The bug was fixed in aom v3.7.0, so it would be great if I could persuade someone in the team to include aom v3.7.0 in the main Ubuntu 23:04 repository.
Can someone advise on how I make this happen? Should I submit a bug report here? Or if not, what other steps are available to me, such as how to use the package in https:/
(NOTE: I can build avifenc with aom v3.7.0 from source, but this is accident-prone (for example, it fails if I build on a Mac with Apple Silicon)).
Thanks
