There is supposed to an importer but there is a bug:

http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=174269

That prevents it from working. So the short answer is "no" you can not migrate your "database" of ratings/scores/playcounts at this time.

They must fix the bug. You can, however, try and see if it works. I'm sorry.

Sincerely,

Craig

you could try copying the collection.db file into your new installation. You'll be able to find it in:
/home/"your user"/.kde/share/apps/amarok
I use this method once so that I don't loose the lyrics that I've downloaded, and it also copy the ratings.

This bug seems to be related to import of MySQL database. My 1.4 database was in SQLite format, so I was able to import it successfully!

I just had to find the 'Import Collection' button, but once I know it existed that was easy.

Thanks!

Thank goodness it was in SQLite format. Keep it that way since you know the bug exists. It doesn't appear they're going to fix it anytime soon!

After your question, I converted mine immediately.

Cheers,

Craig
