Need a Sound Driver for HP Pavilion a1230n for Ubuntu operating system

I have recently installed Ubuntu on my HP Pavilion and need a sound driver since I have no sound at this time.

Check in sound preferences if the right physical output device is selected, and if sound is not mute.

Can you give the output of:

wget -O alsa-info.sh http://alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh && bash ./alsa-info.sh

The sound device was muted. Thank you for your help, I believe this is resolved.
