I have installed Ubuntu 10.10 on a Toshiba Satellite p100 PSPA6A-20817 Laptop and have absolutely no sound, either from speakers or headphones. All other systems work perfect. I also receive a message on boot up saying - modprobe: FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/
Don't know if this is related to the no sound issue.
Have checked sound preferences all at full volume. Have rebooted several times. No change.
Have copied the following information from step 3&4 of your procedures.
Please provide step by step instructions as not that flash on computers. Thanks in advance.
