Shockwave flash

Hi Job. The first thing, that came to my mind was: install flashplugin-installer package via e.g. APT utility (or Ubuntu Software Center, dpkg etc);

Remember to enter your password, and a fact, that you will see nothing, during typing it. Next, please launch Firefox and check for flash (e.g. here: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/). If I remember flash is a part of the 'multiverse' repo, but in case I'm worng, please check: http://linuxg.net/how-to-install-adobe-flash-player-in-ubuntu-13-04-ubuntu-12-10-and-12-04/ website.

By the way; to be able to play some restricted media formats (MP3, AVI, DVD and so on) you will need to install 'restricted-extras' package, but it depends on Ubuntu series you're using (Xubuntu, Kubuntu etc). See:

Shockwave haven't owned Flash for a long time and it is now the property of Adobe.

What is the output of :

lsb_release -a; uname -a; dpkg -l | egrep 'flash|gnash|swf|spark'

example at youtube) it says:
.."it not possible to load shockwave flash"...

Daniel .. in your opinion its a software or hardware issues?

it still does not work .. I do not manage to see any video in the Firefox or Chrome!! only when I shut down the shockwave plugin (version 11,2,202,327) in Firefox is when I can seeing some few videos ... but not all...
 In the Chrome swim!!

Hi Job. Are you trying to say, that almost everything works okay only after shutting down a shockwave plugin? So, maybe try to do something like this: Firstly I think you should remove packages related to shockwave, such as 'gnash', 'klash'[1] etc. Next install 'flashplugin-installer' package[2].

Sorry for a double answer, but there is one more thing: sse2 support. Please check if your computer support it by running this command:

cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep sse2

As the output there should be 'sse2', if not, then probably you can't use Flash Player.
