Fn F4 Key not working for Compaq Laptop Presario V3000 Series

I am using Windows XP Home Edition. I have a LCD projector connected to my Laptop for big display. Earlier I was using Fn F4 key for displaying on the large screen. But suddenly it stops working. I restored the system to an old date (through system restore to an earlier date). Then it gives me a display only at the starting windows on the big screen. But after system is started Desktop is not coming on the LCD Projector screen.
Please help.

I have the same problem. Can Feisty put the display to the LCD projector?
It's kind of make me embarassed to my friend that my Ubuntu cannot be displayed to the projector.

I have exactly the same problem. The original question was asked 6 months ago, does anyone have an answer yet? It would be greatly appreciated.
