Help to recognise wireless card

The command you want is

lspci (with an L in front)

However, if you have a broadcom card things are not quite cut and dry. I guess support is getting better but not yet automatic (I think). Anyway, you should be able to use the driver/firmware from this site.

You want the .deb file. After downloading, you can doubleclick to install it.

The fine print is hard on us old guys, I should have known (Think
Linux.)
So from ispci I got this:
