downloading very slow

i download at 1.5 kb to like 2,0 kbi tryied to change my sofware sources but i really dont know what on to choose from i need one that supports restristed files

Try to choose other Ubuntu software repository from another countries. Or, try to test your internet connection speed to download softwares you need from the best software repository which suits the speed by go to:

System > Administration > Software Sources

After open Software Sources, on the Ubuntu Software tab, go to download from and choose which software repository you want to download from or click on the drop-down list beside download from, choose Other and click Select Best Server. It will begin to test your speed and pick the best one that suit the current or permanent speed.

i do but all my internet does is get slower and its driving me nutz is there any one in texas that can tell me the one they use and i use also the restricted repositories so i need one to soport it please help me out
