cfdisk Error (jaunty)

Asked by Vasudevan Kottilil

Hello,
I am trying to create a new partition using the free/unallocated space on the disk. Currently there are 3 primary partitions, 1 swap and 5 extended partitions occupying roughly about 220G. I tried fdisk and new partition command (n),but it reported no free sectors available.

I have another 100G of unallocated space. what is the best way of creating new partitions? I saw several posts suggesting cfdisk tool to create new partition.

cfdisk is throwing the following error
FATAL ERROR : enlarged logical partitions overlap.

Thanks much,

Vasu Kottilil
