Of course.

When the computer is starting to boot, and appears Grub.
1) Press "ESC"
2) select the option that says (recovery mode), press "e" to edit
3) At the end of the line add "rw init=/bin/sh"
4) Press enter and "b" to boot this line.
5) Whe the boot have been finished, write "passwd username" (where username is your user name)
6) Change the password, and write reboot.

@tasos mina

Please don't append a new question on a old already answered or marked as solved question.
Please make new question from here: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+addquestion
you will get better chance to get right answer on a fresh tagged "open" question.
Solved or answered questions are usually not read from answering people.
