can i install linux first follwing windows

can i install linux first and then windows secondly? i didn't tried , pls say if any issue in this order of installation

No, it is much better to first install Windows and then install Ubuntu afterwards.

If you install Ubuntu first and then install Windows afterwards, Windows will overwrite the boot record so that Ubuntu disappears from the boot menu....

It can be done either way around but it is better to install Windows first or skip it completely. Installing Windows is a bit of a nightmare so i would probably leave it until some other day in the dim and distant future, if at all ;) Just have Ubuntu, it's much easier ;)
