Programs for recording analog onto computer?

I have Ubuntu 9.04. I have old tapes and MinDisks that I want to upload onty my computer to re-masterise them. What program can I use to upload these songs on the hard drive?

audacity is a great audio capture program. very flexible and it lets you save the result in any of several different formats.

No, I don´t have the hardware for putting them onto the computer.

I have checked audacity and it seems good, thanks a lot to all!
