problems installing ubuntu
I can boot to the cd just fine. It will take me to the ubuntu desktop. When I try to run the install icon on the desktop, nothing happens. This is version 6.10
I've never really used linux before.
When looking at the properties of the install icon, I found that the command is gksudo --desktop %k ubiquity gtkui
I tried to run that command from a terminal window and got:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/
main()
File "/usr/bin/
install(
File "/usr/bin/
mod = __import_
ValueError: bad marshal data
I'm downloading 7.04 while I'm typing this. I'll try that if I don't get any response soon. Thanks in advance for any help!
