libstdc++

I have libstdc++.6.X in my ubuntu 8.04, but i want Standalone installer GLIBC_2.3, libstdc++.5.X because i want to run MGLtools and autodick suite. How to downgrade ?

I don't know if you can downgrade the package, but there is a seperate package called libstdc++5 in the repos. Maybe installing that will help?
