ubuntu 9.04 wont install xabre 400 graphics

Hi just download latest version 32bit ubuntu to install on spare pc. Brings up menu install screen, select install , screen goes blank & stops there. PC is older system DFI AD77 AMD 2600 512mb ram SIS xabre 400 64mg agp 60GB HD. Im guessing its a issue with graphics card compatability, but is there a way around? Any help appreciated. cheers

You can try installing from the alternative install cd, it is text based, and will give you more advanced installation options.
